10 Deviled Eggs Garnishes {that aren't a sprinkling of paprika}
Dress up your deviled eggs with these 10 Deviled Eggs Garnishes ... that aren't the usual sprinkling of paprika.
I have absolutely nothing against the usual sprinkling of paprika on top of my deviled eggs. Nope, not a thing. As you can see here in my Classic Southern Deviled Eggs ...
... I'm quite the fan of a hefty sprinkling of the stuff. {and like to include a baby dill pickle slice to go along with it!}
But sometimes, you know, you just get a hankering to change things up a bit. So here are 10 other deviled eggs garnishes for when you feel like doing something a little different.
1. Bacon Crumbles my hubby's favorite!
2. A slice of Pickled Jalapeno I recommend using pickled jalapeno instead of fresh ... we tried both, and the jalapeno flavor comes through much more with the pickled variety.
3. A sprinkling of Cayenne Pepper but go easy, now! That cayenne heat builds up fast.
4. Capers & Fresh Dill this one was my favorite.
5. Fresh Chives My Mom grabs a handful of fresh chives from her herb garden, and does a little snip-snip-snip with her kitchen shears right over the plateful of eggs. Easy! {and delicious}
6. A slice of Pickled Okra ... and an optional sprinkling of Old Bay seasoning. {or ... as above ... cayenne pepper, if you like the heat}
7. A little sprig of fresh Curly-Leaf Parsley so simple & pretty.
8. Diced Pimento & Curly-Leaf Parsley this would be extra pretty at Christmas time, wouldn't it?
9. A Green Olive slice I just adore the flavor combination of green olives and eggs {like in my favorite Egg Salad with Olives}.
10. A slice of Radish Slice the radish thin, and accent it with a teeny piece of curly parsley for a beautiful color pop.
