Three simple ingredients. Incredibly easy. And a family favorite comfort food. Need we say more? Whip up this creamy Fruit Cocktail Fluff Salad in no time. And then watch it disappear ... in no time, too.
Like with this Fruit Cocktail Fluff, as we call it in our family.

Also referred to as fruit cocktail salad, fruit cocktail ambrosia, and easy ambrosia, this creamy concoction requires just three simple ingredients to make.
I mean seriously, this stuff is so simple I hesitate to even call it a recipe. But man alive, do I love it. Recipe or not.
And takes less than 5 minutes to mix up.
Then? You just need to give it a little wait time in the refridge.
And believe me, that's the only hard part of this "recipe" The waiting.
Quite simply a can of fruit cocktail, some mini marshmallows, and Cool Whip.
If you're not a fan of Cool Whip, you could certainly make your own homemade whipped cream instead. Homemade whipped cream will work just great, too. Whipping together about 3/4 cup whipping cream, 1 & 1/2 tablespoons sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract should do the trick.
The squishy, creamy, comfort food kind of "right."
Which sometimes is just the kind of "right" you crave and need.
Letting the ingredients sufficiently meld together creates this Fruit Cocktail Fluff's soft and creamy texture we love so much.
It may be tempting to shortcut the waiting time on this recipe, but I don't recommend that. Letting the ingredients sufficiently meld together creates this Fruit Cocktail Fluff's soft and creamy texture we love so much. Do let this sit for the full recommended time.
Or making it the day before you plan to serve it would be even better!
So, whether we call this simple 3-ingredient deliciousness a recipe or not is neither here nor there to me. I just know that, like so many incredibly easy dishes, this incredibly easy dish is a family favorite.
And for me, that makes it just "right."
Thank you for stopping by . We'd love to have you back soon!
