It's that time of year, my friends, when we take a look back at the most popular reader-favorite recipes from the year here at .  And what a delicious year it's been!  I do believe I say this every year, but I'll say it again ... this may just be my favorite post to write each year.  I love to go back through the year's recipes and see what you all liked best!

So let's go ahead and take a look at the top 15 best recipes of 2015 as 'voted' by your views.

But also let me say thank you so much for reading The Kitchen is My Playground!  I'm truly blessed and humbled to have each and every one of you join in with me on my kitchen adventures.  I'm very much looking forward to seeing what adventures {and recipes} unfold in 2016!

15.  Pumpkin Slab Pie - This feed-a-crowd slab version of our favorite pumpkin pie took the 15th slot in our year-end countdown.  Though since it was just shared in mid-November, given only a bit more time I bet it would have come in quite a bit higher in the ranks.  It's oh-sooooo good.

14.  Chocolate Covered Oreo Cake - With its thick layer of Oreo cream sandwiched between two chocolate cake layers, and topped with rich chocolate ganache and Oreo crumbles, this Chocolate Covered Oreo Cake is one dessert no Oreo lover can resist!

13.  How to Make Creme Brulee - When I think deliciously indulgent dessert, I think Creme Brulee ... Rich.  Creamy.  Delicious.  And when it comes to how to make Creme Brulee?  It's not as hard as you think!  From the looks of it with this post landing in the top 15, many of you think of Creme Brulee, too.

6.  Ham & Cheese Breakfast Casserole with Spinach - Mmmmmmm, how I love this ham & cheese breakfast casserole.  I think it's an especially great way to enjoy leftover ham, and it seems as though many of you do, too.

5.  The BEST Vanilla Cupcakes + the BEST Vanilla Frosting - In all of my years of cooking and recipe testing, these are truly the BEST Vanilla Cupcakes + the BEST Vanilla Frosting I have ever had.  When it comes to cupcakes, these will be your new best friend!  By this recipe's taking of the 5th spot in the countdown, it seems as though many of you have already introduced yourselves.

4.  Chocolate Crack Pie - Oh, this is one of my all-time favorite dessert recipes ... and I'm so glad so many of you have enjoyed it, too!

3.  Quick Salami & Cream Cheese Bites - Need to whip up a tasty crowd-pleasing snack or party food quick?  Look no further than classic quick Salami & Cream Cheese Bites.  With just three ingredients, you can have a platter ready in minutes.   Their simplicity and ease have made these a reader favorite, for sure. 

2.  Classic Southern Deviled Eggs - You simply can't go wrong with a platter full of great deviled eggs.  And these Southern Deviled Eggs? ... they're the best.  As voted by you!

1.  Sparkling Apple Pie Cocktail - Oh wow, this one went C-R-A-Z-Y!!!  It was so fun to watch it's popularity grow!  Loaded with the wonderful flavors of apples, cinnamon, and the sweetness of honey, this cocktail is just perfect for Fall ... or any time ... sipping.
