Turkey-Bacon Alfredo Casserole
Bacon-laced creamy Turkey-Bacon Alfredo Casserole is a wonderful way to enjoy those turkey leftovers. Taking advantage of prepared Alfredo sauce convenience, it's not only tasty, it's easy to prepare, too.
When it comes to casseroles, our 7-year-old Little Miss H. can be picky.
She's not a picky eater for a kid by any means, but she's more of a meat-and-vegetables-separate kind of girl than a lover of all things casserole. Which can make it tough for me, because I'm just the opposite ... I'd much rather have a casserole for dinner than a meat with a couple of sides.
But I've learned a couple of things that can lure Little Miss H. into a creamy casserole ...
1. Cheese. Oh yes, our girl is a total sucker for warm, gooey, melty cheese.
And 2. Bacon.
Taking advantage of prepared Alfredo sauce convenience, it's not only tasty, it's easy to prepare, too.
Say the word bacon related to a dinner dish? She's all over that! Oh, you can just see her little eyes light up at the mention of the "b" word.
Which made this creamy, cheesy Turkey-Bacon Alfredo Casserole a totally acceptable dinner to her.
I must say, even with this casserole containing her makes-a-casserole-okay favorites of cheese and bacon, I was still a bit worried she'd take one bite and turn her nose up. She loves my cheesy Leftover Turkey Noodle Casserole, so I knew this casserole version at least stood a decent chance.
Well, I'm very happy to report this bacon-laced turkey noodle casserole got a two thumbs-up from our sweet Little Miss H.
Which I was very glad about. Because this tasty casserole is a wonderful recipe for enjoying turkey leftovers.
