Hot Chocolate Martini
Mmmmmm, Hot Chocolate Martinis. Bundle up, sit by the fire, and sip this rich chocolate cocktail it's the perfect plan for warming up during cool fall and winter days.
Oh baby, it's getting cold outside! Yes, it's that time of year when most of our country has to start enduring some colder temperatures.
And when it comes to cold, do you want to know what I think? ... Yikes! That's right, I'm not at all a fan of the cold.
I'm thankful I now live in North Carolina where, while we do indeed have some chilly winter days, we don't have to suffer through a long, hard, cold winter. I grew up in Vermont, so you would think I could handle winter days ... but, alas, I cannot.
Oh, but when those cold days hit, I do have a plan for warming up ... a Hot Chocolate Martini! Complete with marshmallows on top. Because marshmallows are fun. And while I don't like cold, I do like fun and marshmallows.
The base of this yummy hot chocolate martini cocktail is prepared hot chocolate, which is then cooled. But just because it's not hot, don't think it won't still warm you up. The vanilla vodka, Kahlua, and creme de cacao will certainly take care of that.
The hubby and I absolutely love the rich chocolate flavor packed into these cocktails.
Now, if you happen to have a kitchen torch ... or even a long match or lighter ... you can even enjoy your Hot Chocolate Martini marshmallow garnish roasted.
A word of caution, however. I don't advise roasting your marshmallows and taking pictures at the same time. See, roasting marshmallows with a lit kitchen torch in one hand and a digital camera in the other isn't ... well ... easy. And just may result in little marshmallow infernos.
And by the time you can get your face close enough to the marshmallow inferno to blow it out ... without lighting your long brown hair on fire from the marshmallow inferno flaming in front of you or from the kitchen torch burning in your hand, mind you ... well, it may just be a little too late for your poor little marshmallows.
Who may just end up, well, a little too roasted.
But roasted marshmallows or not, this scrumptious Hot Chocolate Martini is certainly a fun little way to help get us through a winter cold spell.
Wherever you are, stay warm and stay safe this winter season! {And enjoy a delicious warm-you-up martini, if you must.}
